Whatever is written there must match what happens on the payslip, from the first month to the renewal.

Contract and CCNL

Every contract is written and sits under a national collective agreement (CCNL) chosen by job and sector. The CCNL sets the minimum pay for each level, hours, overtime, leave, probation and notice. For a Blue Card the salary must also reach the ISTAT-based threshold, and the contract must last at least six months.

The contract states title and level, place of work, salary, hours, start date, probation and whether it is permanent or fixed-term. A permanent contract gives a two-year Blue Card; a fixed-term one gives a card for the contract length plus three months.

Changes such as a raise or a promotion go into a written amendment. A pay cut below the threshold or a change of role can affect the permit: talk to us before any change.

Ending employment

A valid reason, the CCNL notice period, and TFR and unused leave in the final payslip.
